Happy Birthday on the on the Pig Trail

5.0/ 5

We always started at Eureka Springs, Ark up north and went south. so If you want to power thru the ride, then ride it up (South to North), If you want to cruse it, then ride it down (North to south). The only hazard or cautions i can think of are, be respectful of the leaves, lots of them in the fall or after a good rain, because the roads get wet and don’t dry as quick in the shadows of the trees. The log cabin store just north a few miles of I-40 is the coolest place to relax and take a few photos, get a few patches and reminders etc. ( https://turnerbend.com/ )

If you decide to go on further south, like on your way to “Mena, Ark. (Hwy23 to Hwy71 ). There is or was a Mexican Restaurant just out of Ozark, Ark across the Arkansas river on the east side or left going south, called “Mi Casita “. If your lucky you might see some tugs and other boats navigating the river and if you tell the waiters someone in the bunch is having a birthday, they will bring fried ice cream and put a big sombrero hat on them and sing Happy birthday to them and take your picture and put it on the wall, for a little fee of course, but so worth it i assure you. P.s.: I still owe my friend that told them it was my birthday, i haven’t forgot.
